Brad Wilkerson had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Jake Peavy was able to finish what he
started and was credited with a complete game at the ballpark as the strong
Columbus Crowd, running on all cylinders, ripped the Langley Farm Team by a
large 15 to 1 margin.
Wilkerson had a big day with his bat. He lofted a three-run bomb (his 22nd of
the season) in the 2nd inning, lined a single knocking in a run in the 3rd
inning, laced a base-hit in the 5th inning and lashed a one-base hit in the
9th inning. Columbus bats were very productive in the 2nd inning when they
had 6 runs on 6 hits and the 3rd inning with 5 runs on 5 hits. Columbus had
a total of 22 hits for the game.
Peavy(10-4), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Brad
Radke(6-13) absorbed the loss. He allowed 6 hits and no walks in 1 inning.
